new camera!

So two weeks ago I got my Christmas Present from Alan a little early. I have been wanting a digital SLR camera for SO long.

This is my new camera :) :) I am SOOOO in love with it! It even has an HD video camera!

In celebration of Halloween at work, we all chose different decades to 'dress up' as. I chose the 60's/ 70's since I already had the earrings, tie dyed shirt, torn jeans and aviator sunglasses. I had been out the two days prior, so coming back on a day when we were able to let loose and have some fun definitely made it easier. Everyone brought in all sorts of sweet foods that I couldn't have since I just had mouth surgery #2.

Saturday, October 31

Today, I went and hung out with Brielle and Matt for a little while, and uploaded the many pictures I took at work on Friday. Afterward, I went home and Alan and I headed to Wal Mart to try and come up with two costumes. Nothing like waiting until the very last minute, huh? Anyway, this is what we came up with. It ended up costing us $25 for both costumes. That's much better than the $60 each Halloween Express was charging.

surgery update.

My surgery went well. I went in at 10am and was home by 2. They filed down the bone around my cyst and removed a bunch of hard tissue surrounding the area. Needless to say, it hurts. Basically, it feels like I went and had my wisdom teeth taken out again. I took yesterday (obviously) and today off from work and I hope to be able to go back tomorrow. Until then I have been eating A LOT of applesauce, mashed potatoes and Ben & Jerry's Peach Cobbler ice cream.

surgery.

I have been having pretty severe headaches, neck/shoulder pain, etc. 2 to 3 times a week for about 6 years now. After visiting numerous Chiropractors, Neurologists, having MRI's, CT scans, and being on ridiculous amounts of medicine, today they finally gave me a reason for it all. I have a cyst (which I am very prone to) pushing on my sinuses. I will be having surgery on Wednesday, September 23rd to remove it and hopefully solve a good bit of these problems that are essentially ruining my life. So all in all it was a pretty good day :) Thank God for Midlands Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Dr. Park.

labor day weekend.

For Labor Day weekend weekend Alan and I decided to take a trip to Lake Jocassee with his parents. We left Saturday night and made our long, 3 hour journey up there. Sunday we went to Whitewater Falls and a few other places before making our way back to our villa on the lake. After we got home, we went to the lake and swam in the ridiculously clear water (for SC at least), and jumped off rocks and other semi dangerous things. Today, we went to Table Rock and Caesar's Head state park's before heading home. All in all, it was a wonderful weekend away from Columbia. Tomorrow, it's back to wonderful Bank of America.
